Beginner's Class: We have teachers, but the club would like 2 members to man the registration table, handout papers, arrange the room, help teachers or guest speakers to bring items in and out, display items, and promote club meetings.

Timeframe: 1/2 hour before class, during the class and for up to 1/2 after the class, for each of the classes. See the class page for dates and location details.

Picnic: Up to 5 volunteers, to help with shopping, setup, food layout, cooking, auction, and clean up.

Timeframe: August; an hour or two for shopping, an hour before/after the picnic, and the picnic itself.

Nuc Pickup and box return. Man the bee yard, help people picking up their nucs, screen them in if needed. Check off who has picked up their nucs from master list. Remind people to return the box. Help get the boxes back and keep track of the returns. Help return the boxes to Jerry.

Timeframe: May-ish, depending on the year.

Timeframe: TBD

Hospitality: 1 or 2 members to arrange travel logistics, rides, housing, food for guest speakers for the clubs events, including monthly meetings, Geneva Bee Conference, and other training. Speakers will be booked by officers, this position is to simply take care of the travel logistics. Compile and manage a list of members who could house a speaker, drive a speaker, and or feed a speaker.

Timeframe: Ongoing, mostly during winter.

Newsletter: Compile information to put into our monthly newsletter, edited into newsletter format, proof sent to officers for approval, then sent out. Manage list of receiving members.

Timeframe: Ongoing, monthly.

Raffle: 1 or 2 members responsible for finding an item for each meeting to be raffled off to help increase funds. Raffle could be something like a bunch of buckets that people are ask to donate some money in order to take some of the buckets, or a full on raffle with tickets. This will take place at each meeting. Collected money given to assigned officer at the end of each meeting.

Timeframe: Ongoing, each meeting.

Mentor Oversight: Compile list of mentors, match with mentees by location. Train mentors as to what is expected of them.

Timeframe: Winter/spring annually, including one meeting.

Mentor: Assist one or more new beekeepers throughout their first year, from hiving their first nuc or package through splits the following spring.

Timeframe: ~Six visits over thirteen months (as outlined in mentor training found here), plus phone calls as needed.
