Honey Barbecue Rub for beef
SERVES: 4
Honey is this rub's special ingredient.
4 boneless top sirloin steaks, 4 oz. each
OR
4 ground beef patties (85% lean), 4 or 5 oz. each
1/4 cup honey
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
2 tsp salt
2 tsp medium grind black pepper
2 tsp ground mustard
2 tsp chili powder
Rub each piece of meat with 1 tablespoon of honey. Combine remaining ingredients and rub onto meat. Let stand 20 to 30 minutes. Barbecue or broil to desired degree of doneness.
Note: I tried this on a couple of chicken breasts and it was very good.
